I found my first amanitas the other day, super exciting!
Going mad trying to identify them, some varieties of amanitas are edible!
Considering:
1. I found 2 within around 5 feet of each other, 99% sure they are the same kind, & neither one has any sign of a stem skirt.
2. Neither one has any "warts", both caps are smooth.
3. Both caps are a lighter tan/brown color, gills are pure white & stems look to be a tan color badly beaten by hard rain.
4. Spore print came out white, however the older one didn't drop any spores, they usually don't.
My guesses are:
Amanita brunnescens (except these have skirts?)

The "Death Cap" mushroom is one everyone should be aware of.
Reportedly fatal if just 1/2-1 cap is consumed.
I would be super excited to find one of these!
Said to be native to Europe, but now reportedly found in North and South America, & all over the world.
Everyone should be on the lookout.
