THESE ARE EDIBLE!♡♡♡
I nibbled on this one, looking for a younger one to eat, this spongy/yellow interior doesn't appeal to me. ;)-

DO NOT CONFUSE WITH A YOUNG AMANITA "DESTROYING ANGEL"
RESEMBLES A PUFFBALL WHEN SMALL
HAS A CAP & STEM WHEN DEVELOPED
NOT A PUFFBALL STRUCTURE
KNOWN TO BE DEADLY POISONOUS
LOOK AT SHEEN & TEXTURE:
GIANT PUFFBALLS HAVE A MATTE FINISH,
FEEL LIKE DRY PLASTIC.
DESTROYING ANGELS ARE MORE SQUISHY.

These are edible!♡♡♡
The sponge-like interior ripens from solid white, to yellow (maybe dirty yellow/brown/green for a very old mushroom).
So the photo directly above is an older mushroom, with a yellow interior.

I believe some type of puffball mushroom, but not sure which.
Looks similar to poisonous pigskin puffball, but I do not think it is that, those are solid black inside, this looks like it use to be white just gotten old, still not sure yet.
Later stage I am guessing.
I ripped a couple in half to see inside...
Looks like black styrofoam, not spongy.
